Rom 8:20

For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it, in hope

Romans 8:17-25 - [Verse 20 in Original Greek]

17 and if children, heirs R350 also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, if R351 indeed we suffer with {Him} so that we may also be glorified with {Him.} 18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are R352 not worthy to be compared with the glory R353 that is to be revealed to us. 19 For the anxious R354 longing of the creation waits eagerly for the R355 revealing of the sons R356 of God. 20 For the creation was R357 subjected to futility, R358 not willingly, but because R359 of Him who subjected it, in F144 hope 21 that the R360 creation itself also will be set free from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God. 22 For we know that the whole creation groans R361 and suffers the pains of childbirth together until now. 23 And R362 not only this, but also we ourselves, having the R363 first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan R364 within ourselves, waiting R365 eagerly for {our} adoption as sons, the R366 redemption of our body. 24 For in R367 hope we have been saved, but hope R368 that is seen is not hope; for who hopes for what he {already} sees? 25 But if R369 we hope for what we do not see, with perseverance we wait eagerly for it.
